Daylight Savings Time is here. At last! As a not very early riser i hate Standard Time's short days. The sudden darkening of the afternoon is no small matter when you have to shop, gym and dog walk all in two and a half hours. DST means we can be out and about and awake at nine p.m. Beeham BeeCee are northern latitudes and by June i think we get about 6 hours of dark... okay, maybe a little more but not by much. That's not counting the otherwise default dark of the Eternal Drip.
Tonight it was time to replenish the ice-cream jar. Chocolate. Poor Nicki. He can smell the cream, sugar and chocolate and he sits there on the kitchen floor looking up and hopeful. I'd like to let him lick the spoons and bucket but, needless to say, I can't. So i try to make it up to him by saving a little pure cream for him to lick up and giving him a chunk-o-meat. But although he will never look a scrap in the eye, he knows he's missing something.
There's an existential reminder here.... Wish i could figure it out.
