Brousing and Bouncing

We went downtown today to pick up a roll of developed film some pictures of which came out rather nicely.  After a short walk, i stopped off at the used bookstore to brouse a bit.

Beehman has a great used book and cd store, of the sort that are no longer found in "gentrified" big cities where only corporations and their retinues can afford to exist. After some brousing, i emerged with two Tintin's in mint condition and a pair of Haydn quartets.

Still Nifty after All these Years
Later on, after all else, i lit a candle and sat down to listen to the quartets, Nicki chewing a bone on the floor beside me.  I have to say that this little bookshelf Sony has remarkable sound, at least for mid-range pieces.

After a while Nicki got up walked over and nosed the on/off touch-control  <stop> <silence>.

<???>

This is actually the second time Nicki has done this and this time he figured out that it was not a coincidence.

Whatch'you doo?

Whatch'you doo?

I petted him on the head, re-pressed the button and the music started up again.  At that point, forget Haydn.  Nicki fetched his bone and tossed it at me.  I tossed it down the hall and this got Nicki wild.  He started jumping around and tossing his bone in the air. I threw it again this wilded him up even more. He started to do jump circles tossing and pouncing on the bone.

Eventually, I had to calm him down. He still such a puppy. I wish Spring would come already.
