Keeping the Focus

I wanted to try out my new retro-nikon, so i took Nicki down to Lakeview, where i took a couple of pictures in film and digital.

Over on the beachlette next to the bridge there was a small, scamp-about puppy whose owner was trying (unsuccessfully) to get it to swim.  So i took Nicki over and said that maybe he could teach the pup.  There being no sticks around, i tossed a rock into the lake and Nicki swam after it.  Little pup went to water's edge but no further.

One of the people with the puppy's owner then threw a bright tennis ball into the water which Nicki ignored completely as he tried diving for the rock.  After all, that was the mission, wasn't it?   We all laughed and as he swam back to shore.  I yelled "bal, Nicki, get bal!" whereupon he turned around and brought the ball back.

At that point was in Fetch Mode and could have cared less for the puppy. He pranced about waiting for us to toss the ball while the puppy scambered about jumping up on his side and haunchies. This went on for a while, until we left.

Fall is upon us.
